Welcome to the Duke Health & Well-Being Programs website!

Reiki: Level Two

Reiki, a form of energy healing, is an ancient practice that is used to reduce stress, improve health and quality of life, and supports physical and emotional healing. Research suggests that using Reiki as a complementary therapy activates the parasympathetic nervous system to heal body and mind via the relaxation response. Reiki is accessible to everyone and is easy to learn. Practitioners use specific hand positions, held for a few minutes on or near the client’s clothed body. Upon completion of Reiki 2, participants will be able to begin practicing professionally.

Please Note: Reiki: Level One from any lineage is a prerequisite for Reiki: Level Two. Completed Reiki: Level One with a different organization? Not a problem! Please send your certificate of completion to DHWprograms@duke.edu and our team will assist you in the registration process. Reiki: Level One training is also available at Duke Health & Well-Being.
