What are the requirements for application and how long does it take to receive my application decision?

Any yoga instructor who is registered with Yoga Alliance or who has equivalent training and experience is invited to apply for enrollment.  Instructor training must be complete at the time of application in order to be accepted.

If you wish you may begin an application, save your progress and wait until your training program is completed before submitting the completed application.

Once submitted please allow approximately two weeks for your application to be reviewed.  Please note the Application Deadline indicated on the program page. You will be notified of the acceptance decision via email, at the email address associated with your account.  Acceptance into the program without registration and payment does not reserve your place in the course.

Accepted applicants will receive instructions on how to register. Registration is limited to 40 participants per course. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and require payment in full. We will offer a waitlist for courses that fill to maximum capacity prior to the registration deadline.  If no sessions are open for registration at the time of acceptance, accepted applicants will receive notification when the next session becomes available.

I am traveling to Duke IM from out of the area. What airport is closest? Do I need to rent a car? What are my options for lodging?

The closest airport is the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The airport is approximately 18 miles from our location.

Course participants often forgo rental cars in lieu of the shuttle service that may be provided by their lodging choice. However, others find that a rental car provides more freedom for them to venture around the Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill area restaurants, shops and entertainment venues outside of the training hours.

Visit the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau’s website for a searchable database of lodging in and around the Durham area as well as an overview of all the city has to offer:

For June 2017:  The program instructors have reserved a block of rooms at the following facilities.  These arrangements are not managed by Duke Integrative Medicine.

  • Millennium Hotel Durham room block (includes shuttle service on the weekend)
Telephone – Guests may call the hotel at (800) 633-5379 or (919) 383-8575 and give the following booking code MINDFLYOGA
Online – Guests may make reservations online using the following reservation booking link:  book online here
