Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Foundations Program

Duke Integrative Medicine's MBSR Foundations program is designed to introduce you to the concept of mindfulness; that basic human capacity to pay attention on purpose, with intention, in the present moment, in a friendly and non-judging way. By paying attention in this manner, you become more present to and aware of both the inner and outer experiences of life as they unfold. As your connection with and awareness of the unfolding of the present moment grows, so does your capacity to live more fully and to deal with stress more effectively.
