Join Instructor Carol Krucoff to learn a simple, effective yoga practice designed to relieve back and neck pain, plus strategies to help enhance overall health. Each 90-minute class will include a short educational component, plus a complete yoga practice including stress-reduction techniques and relaxation. The gentle yoga practice will teach you proper sitting and standing posture, and will also focus on releasing tension, stretching and strengthening your body, relaxing your mind and lifting your spirit. No yoga experience required.


  • Carol Krucoff, E-RYT, is a yoga instructor specializing in therapeutic applications of yoga for medical concerns. She offers yoga therapy at Duke Integrative Medicine, where she creates individualized yoga practices for people with health challenges. A frequent contributor to Yoga Journal, she is the author of "Healing Yoga for Neck and Shoulder Pain," creator of the audio home practice CD, "Healing Moves Yoga," and co-creator of the DVD, "Relax into Yoga." Carol is co-author, with her husband and Duke University cardiologist, Mitchell Krucoff, MD, of "Healing Moves: How to Cure, Relieve and Prevent Common Ailments with Exercise." Her newest book, "Yoga Sparks: 108 Easy Practices for Stress Relief in a Minute or Less," will be published in August 2013 by New Harbinger.
